Where Do I Get Rubbs By Chubbs?

Currently I am only able to sell my Rubbs within Arizona state borders. One day when I expand my operations I look forward to delighting people nationwide with my blends. The Rubbs are available for purchase online on the Shop page and hopefully soon at farmer's markets and other local venues. Like us on Facebook to keep up to date with everything.

Will I Be Happy When I Rubb the Chubb?

Yes. Yes, you will. If you aren't already smiling reading that then there may be no hope for you. But seriously I put a lot of effort into my Rubbs and have tried it on numerous dishes/meals. Disclaimer: It did not taste good on pancakes.

Where Have You Been All My Life?

Arizona. Almost moved out to California for college, but nope! And had a job offer in Texas, and nothing against Texas, but it aint home.

The Jars

Our jars are classic glass mason jars with the quintessential lid and screw cap. I went with these for a number of reasons:

One- They are recyclable and reusable. If you can't repurpose these jars after you finish up one, go check out this little website called Pintrest and type in "wedding" for a search. Whether you are going to use your jar to make a candle holder, drinking glass or whatever these can stay out of a landfill. The labels used can be easily remove to help one save their jar without having labeldue (label-residue) on them.

Two - Being glass, you can run them through the dishwasher to clean them. They are 100% BPA free and made in America! Unlike plastic bottles, these glass jars won't leech any impartial flavors into the seasonings. Also since you can see through the glass, you will know when you start to run low and need to reload on some spice!

Three- They just feel right. There is something "homey" about reaching for a mason jar and unscrewing the lid. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but it is the little things that matter the most to me.

The Process

Just like I have been doing for years for friends and family, these Rubbs are made by hand. No fancy machines, no mechanized mixers and especially no cyborgs are involved in this process.

 

The ingredients are poured by hand to ensure delicious perfection in each jar. After a signature shaking move (YouTube and at-home-fitness VHS is in the works) these jars are secured with a tamper-evident shrink wrap. Finally the labels get put on with delicate care (yes, some won't be at perfect right angles) and it is onto the next.

In accordance with Arizona Department of Health Services I am eligible to produce my seasonings at my private residence under the Home Baked and Confectionary Goods section. I want this to be not only 100% mouth-watering but 100% legal. Like I said earlier, no fancy machines or such. I could have gone to a fulfillment company to make my Rubbs, but this is my love and passion and I am putting it into every jar so you can always have a delicious meal.

The Goal

I want my Rubbs to be the first thing you reach for while cooking! I want to put a smile on your face and a giggle in your gut with all of this. I aim to always deliver sensational handmade southwest seasonings full of flavor and childhood inappropriateness!
