The new year season always brings a flurry of activity and emotions. Most of us have reflected upon the past year and set our goals for the new one. Social media is always ablaze with posts of resolutions, recaps and #bestyearyet. We here at Rubbs by Chubbs (RBC) are not immune to this ritual. Back in 2017 we posted a blog that captured the essence of the whole new-year, new-us thing. We want to start this year's servings of blogs in a way that hopefully gets y'all as excited as we are for 2019!
But first, let's look at last year a little. 2018 was a great year for us!
Our online presence grew significantly with our Facebook and Instagram accounts. (Make sure to follow and like us, if you haven't already!) We also had an unprecedented amount of "fan art" shared with us, of y'all sending us photos of your Rubb'd Meat-ster-pieces!
We successfully launched our first "Limited Run" Rubbs, Donovan's Beef and Sedona Smoke! Due to the overwhelming success of Sedona Smoke, it will be joining the "Full-Time Family" but more on that later!
We celebrated two years in business! Considering that some statistics state that 20% of small businesses fail within a year, we'll take that!
We also sold our 1,000th jar of Rubbs! WHAT?! I cannot express how grateful I am for this accomplishment or how happy I am that people enjoy these seasonings that much!
So what does 2019, look like?
We are going to be updating our online shop to make it a little more user-friendly and easier to take advantage of the savings when you buy multiple jars!
As stated above, Sedona Smoke will be joining the constant line-up of Rubbs. That means it will be available in the Lil-Rubb (2.5 oz) size! Keep your eyes out for those little cuties!
Donovan's Beef will still be available (until we run out of labels). You see, all our Rubbs are small-batch and hand-made. We don't just sit on pounds of inventory, because we want to deliver the freshest and most delicious seasonings possible. We buy our ingredients in small batches and only stock up on the non-perishable materials (like our jars and labels).
We will also be introducing another new "Limited Run" Rubb. This one is going to be completely sugar-free! While only three of our blends contain a significant amount of sugar in them, they all do have at least a trace of sugar. But with this Rubb we wanted to make one that has absolutely ZERO sugar in it. We will have more on that in an upcoming blog!
And those are all things we can say for certain! Who knows what else is going to happen this year in the RBC-World! It is quite easy to state that 2019 is looking' good so far!
