Every now and then I just like to mess around with stuff. Some times it results in needing a new vacuum cleaner (no, not like that sickos) and other times it generates something special. More often than not, when it utilizes meat, Rubbs and heat it's a positive conclusion. This past weekend was no exception. My wife had made some delicious California Roll sushi bowls a while back for our monthly date night. That recipe required a lot of new additions to the pantry (rice vinegar, sesame oil, etc.) and when I got that hair up my you-know to mess around on the Traeger, it led me to these:
Island Shrimp Skewers
Ingredients:
Shrimp (Raw or cooked, just thawed and de-shelled)
Donovan's Beef Rubb
Skewers (metal or wood works)
Island Sauce (ingredients below)
Skewer up the shrimps, trying to keep in even amounts
Sprinkle Rubb on both sides
Drizzle Island Sauce on both sides
Toss on Traeger*
Pull when done to your liking
*I had mine set at 375-degrees as was already cooking up something else, I gave each side about 4 minutes as I was using already cooked shrimps
Island Sauce Ingredients:
Soy Sauce
Sesame Oil
Rice Wine Vinegar
Chick-Fil-A Polynesian Sauce
Honey
Sriracha (optional)
Donovan's Beef Rubb
Red Chili Flakes
Mix together ingredients into a bowl. As far as amounts go, use your best judgement. Just maybe leave out the Sriracha the first go around ;p
