Here is another recipe that we tried out on Labor Day, bacon-wrapped-pickles. If you follow any kind of grilling/smoking accounts on social media, I am sure you have seen the dozens of these recipes over the past few month. Enjoy!
Ingredients
Pickle Spears
Bacon
Rubb
Tooth Picks
Starting at one end of pickle spear, wrap bacon around it.
Use two tooth picks to secure bacon to pickle.
Sprinkle Rubb over.
Toss on smoker at 225-degrees for 60 - 80 minutes.
Some tips/notes:
The bacon we used was a Hungarian style, so it had its own seasoning blend already on it.
You do not want to wimp out on the bacon or pickles, go thick.
Next time I might try slicing a piece of string cheese in half and putting that on the pickle as well.
