With the weather starting to cool down in Arizona, it's getting to be outdoor-cooking time again! So not only did I get to bust out the Traeger this past weekend but also a new gadget to try out, the ThermoPro TP826!
This is a 2-pc wireless meat-thermometer that my wife bought me earlier this year! (She's so good to me.) It's honestly a shame I hadn't busted this bad-boy out earlier! Straight out of the packaging, I was impressed. It comes with two-meat probes which is perfect as I was smoking up both beef and pork.
Not only did both devices come with batteries (still good!) but also have kick-stands. The smaller unit (where the probes plug into) also has a retractable hook-ring for securing it while cooking.
The larger unit wirelessly connects to the smaller one and has a 500 foot range to work with. This is also where you can set your desired temperatures to reach either manually or by selecting the preset options based upon the meat-type.
You can also set both probes separate of each other, so it is perfect if doing multiple meats or desired internal temps at the same time!
And here's the deal, I've been very vocal about not micromanaging your meat. It's posted a few different times on my website. BUT you need to know what your meat is doing and internal temp readings are wayyyyyy more important than just going off of cook time. Every piece of meat is unique but needs to get to where you want it before pulling.
You can check out more about the product and snag one up on their webpage. Highly recommend!

Writer's Note: So my wife listened to me when I had said I need new meat probes, which prompted this gift. In return, I made sure to LISTEN to what she told me when it came to ordering up our son's birthday cake. Please see below.
